RICHARD’S SPAGHETTI MEAT SAUCE

2 lbs. Ground Beef
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1 28 oz. can crushed or diced tomatoes
1 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. cumin
1 tbsp. Paprika
1 tsp. basil leaves
2 bay leaves
1 ½ teaspoonfuls salt
1 or 2 cloves finely chopped garlic or ½ teaspoonful garlic powder
Brown ground beef in a heavy skillet , drain all grease.
Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer uncovered for 45 min to 1 hr. stirring frequently.
Serve over spaghetti, cooked according to directions on the box.
* If you like a real thick sauce, add a small can of tomato paste after simmering and continue simmering for an additional 20 minuets.
